Discord Users Affected by Data Breach via Third-Party Provider

Discord has reported a data breach affecting a limited number of users after a third-party customer service provider was compromised. Exposed data includes real names, email addresses, and limited billing details, though full credit card numbers and passwords were not accessed.

The breach involved data from users who had contacted its Customer Support and/or Trust & Safety teams. Discord is advising users to watch for suspicious messages and to contact customer service for support regarding the incident. The company is working with law enforcement to investigate the breach and will notify affected users via email.

While Discord has not named the attacker, a group known as the “Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters” has claimed responsibility, sharing screenshots on Telegram that purportedly show access to Discord's internal tools and threatening to leak the data online.
